Public reception for 'Jacob Lawrence: Lines of Influence'
Oct. 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Join us for a reception celebrating "Jacob Lawrence: Lines of Influence," a group exhibition commemorating the centennial of the birth of Jacob Lawrence, acclaimed painter, storyteller, educator and chronicler of the mid-20th-century American experience, on view through Feb. 4, 2018. The reception features a musical performance by SCAD alumnus George Lovett (B.F.A., performing arts, 2011) and Kim Steiner, SCAD vocal instructor and accompanist for performing arts.

This event is held in conjunction with the "Jacob Lawrence: Lines of Influence" symposium, Oct. 19–20.

The exhibition and symposium are supported by the Jacob and Gwendolyn Knight Lawrence Foundation and the Ford Foundation.

The reception is free and open to the public.
