The SCAD Museum of Art presents the first solo U.S. museum exhibition by artist Tallur L.N. "Balancing Act" features a selection of new and recent sculpture, two-dimensional wood works, and the U.S. premiere of "Apocalypse"(2010), an electromagnetic coin-polishing system.
Employing a range of materials including bronze, wood, terracotta, silicone, concrete and silver, Tallur L.N. creates sculpture, wall pieces, site-specific installations and interactive work that delve deep into the dichotomies between the tangible and the ethereal, the figurative and the abstract, and the decorative and the conceptual.
Presented as part of the 2014 deFINE ART program, Feb. 18-21, 2014.
The exhibition is free for all SCAD students, faculty, staff and museum members and open to the public with the cost of museum admission.
