Discover how Frederick Douglass: Embers of Freedom came together during a gallery talk with artists Onyedika Chuke, TR Ericsson, and Charles Edward Williams (B.F.A., advertising, 2006) along with SCAD curators Humberto Moro, Ben Tollefson, and Ariella Wolens. This talk explores the Frederick Douglass family archive collection of letters, scrapbooks, photographs, and ephemera from the Walter and Linda Evans Collection, which inspired special commissions by these three artists. The artists will discuss their approaches to the many themes culled from Douglass’ history and life.
