Event: Chambre de Soie (An evening in the silk room)

The SCAD Museum of Art welcomes you to experience an intimate evening of art and music set within the “Chambre de Soie” silk embroidery room, a central aspect of Eva Jospin’s exhibition Into the Woods. This atmospheric program activates the artwork through a live performance by local musicians on harp and violin, creating a dialogue between visual and sonic expression. 

Surrounded by the soft textures and tonal qualities of Jospin’s “Chambre de Soie,” guests will be immersed in a sensory experience that echoes the work’s mood and materiality. The interplay of the string instruments will evoke both delicacy and depth, offering a contemplative lens through which to engage with the work. 

This program offers a unique opportunity to slow down, listen, and connect — a moment to experience the gallery as a space of resonance, reflection, and shared artistic encounter.
