How do time and distance inform our connection to family photographs and archives?
Join artist Jen Everett and the SCAD Museum of Art’s Evans Center for African American Studies at this 90-minute workshop that explores the questions and possibilities of one’s relationships to photographs and the histories they hold. Everett holds space for play and experimentation as participants investigate their own personal histories.
Based in St. Louis, Everett is interested in the myriad ways Black people continue to produce and transmit knowledge in excess of formal structures. Her practice moves between photography, video, installation, and writing.
