Join coordinator of museum visitation Kristin Poitras for an exclusive members-only tour of work by internationally celebrated artists Paulina Olowska and Rose B. Simpson.
Olowska's exhibitions and performances offer a portrait of femininity behind the Iron Curtain. She employs the loaded symbolism of fashion to convey social desires of ascension, escapism, and utopia.
Simpson is a mixed-media artist who lives and works in the Santa Clara Pueblo on the outskirts of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her corporeal sculptures go beyond discourse of Native ceramic practices to investigate the broader human condition. Simpson uses her cultural language to interpret the structures of social relationships and how our physicality is affected by the spaces we inhabit.
This in-person tour is limited to 10 guests. The tour will also be presented virtually.
