To mark the SCAD Museum of Art’s 15th year and its award-winning structure by visionary architect Christian Sottile, join us for a perspective drawing workshop led by SCAD foundations professors Henry Dean and Runcie Tatnall.
Continuing SCAD’s longstanding legacy of adaptive reuse, the museum’s distinctive design serves as both venue and muse for this sketching session, which highlights two powerful architectural opportunities within the museum space: observing the building from outside and within. Participants practice their illustrative techniques as translators of structure, light, and contrast while building a deeper appreciation for the evolution of space and form.
Bring a sketchbook and graphite pencils. Drawing boards are available upon request.
Meet in the SCAD MOA lobby. This event is open to SCAD students and museum members.
