The SCAD Museum of Art and Friends of SCAD welcome you for an exclusive tour of SCAD Savannah. Stops include the Lucas Theatre to tour and listen to our historic Wurlitzer organ, our new café Press and listening room Press Play for coffee and sounds of the season, and SCAD Art Sales for an in-depth look at the Small Works exhibition. Meet with members of the university’s community engagement team as you learn more about their work hosting special guests, activating unique experiences, and organizing collective educational opportunities. The day trip includes a catered picnic lunch at Press.

About the tour destinations

Lucas Theatre
Beautifully restored, this grand 86,000-square-foot theater abounds with architectural features, including a 40-foot-wide ceiling dome that tops the 1,237-seat theater. The Lucas offers 4K digital cinema projection and Dolby Digital surround sound, with ticketing through the SCAD Box Office.

Press
Located inside Jen Library at SCAD Savannah, Press is a coffee shop and social commons where creativity and community meet, serving specialty coffee, matcha, cold-pressed juices, and fresh pastries. 

Press Play
Press Play is an intimate listening lounge featuring a curated, genre-embracing collection of music, adjacent to our café Press. Press and Press Play are accessible through Gutstein Gallery.

Gutstein Gallery 
Adjacent to Jen Library, Gutstein Gallery is home to SCAD Art Sales and hosts rotating exhibitions of curated works by SCAD artists.
