Find throughlines of word and image at '(re)Phrase' with authors Marwa Helal and Roger Reeves

Join award-winning authors Marwa Helal and Roger Reeves for an immersive poetry reading presented by SCAD MOA’s Evans Center for African American Studies. In this latest installment of the Evans Center’s literary series (re)Phrase, Helal and Reeves engage modes of expressions that augment themes — such as racial violence, exile, colonization, and the “ante-body” — explored in current exhibitions.

Study the gaze in Norbert Bisky's 'Mirror Society' on College Admission Saturday

College students get in free at SCAD MOA every Saturday. Present a valid college ID at the front desk to view extraordinary exhibitions organized by world-class curators.

Check out shows like Mirror Society, a unique collage of Bisky’s previous work altered and reapplied to a mirrored surface to form a voyeuristic feedback loop between subjects in abstract bursts of saturated color and the viewer’s own gaze.

Refuse simple narratives in Elaine Cameron-Weir's '(Exploded View)' on College Admission Saturday

College students get in free at SCAD MOA every Saturday. Present a valid college ID at the front desk to view extraordinary exhibitions organized by world-class curators.

Check out shows like (Exploded View) or "everywhere I go people know the part I'm playing," which questions the individual and the collective conditions that shape our perception of the world.
