This tour emphasizes Argote’s artistic tendency to challenge the collective memories and narrow histories presented in public spaces and monuments. Experience Argote’s paintings, sculptures, and film in the artist’s native language.  

Intrigued by the life and work of Malcolm X? Join a SCAD Museum of Art docent for a walkthrough of the exhibition X by Awol Erizku. The tour examines how pioneering Black American Muslim human rights activist El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm X) dedicated his life to encouraging open-mindedness — and how Erizku conveys that same goal in his multidisciplinary practice.

Join the SCAD Museum of Art for a docent-led tour of Cao Fei’s exhibition At the Edge of Superhumanity spoken in Mandarin. The tour guides guests through Cao Fei’s multimedia works and installations that blur the distinctions between the familiar and the futuristic, the terrestrial and the cyber. This tour is led by a docent who speaks fluent Mandarin.
