SCAD Exhibitions presents: Feel-good Fridays

The SCAD Exhibitions team is eager to offer a brand-new series that unites thought-provoking SCAD Museum of Art exhibitions with the immersive SCADstory experience, bridged by a guided walk through the downtown historic district of Savannah. This creative collective combines art, whimsy, and wellness! Take in the sights as you reflect on past, present, and future while enjoying time with locals and visitors alike.

Honoring educators: A day of teaching in the galleries

Spend an afternoon at SCAD MOA participating in hands-on activities and guided tours with SCAD student docents as you explore the latest exhibitions and discuss the impact of artful education. While discovering the museum’s resources for art educators, including the Walter and Linda Evans Center for African American Studies, meet local community members and hear more about opportunities to engage your students with local and international artists.

Member exclusive: Toast to fall exhibitions

Join the SCAD Museum of Art for a special members’ toast to preview the fall season of exhibitions. Speak with the curators and featured artists about their work with drinks on the terrace prior to the official opening celebration. Nine new exhibitions offer an expansive lens on the artists’ distinct visual vocabularies and mediums of storytelling, contextualizing the nuances of navigating our complex world with optimism for profound change.

Photo walk: Lens like a local with the Savannah Photo Club

The Walter and Linda Evans Center for African American Studies welcomes SCAD and Savannah community members to join the Savannah Photo Club for their monthly photo walk. Stroll through the historic city with a honed curiosity for visual nuances, starting at the SCAD MOA lobby. Bring your camera or smartphone and wear comfortable clothes in preparation for this two-hour walk around downtown. The promenade circles back to SCAD MOA just as the museum galleries open, so stick around to check out the latest exhibitions. All are welcome to join.

Celebrate your service with free admission to SCAD MOA

The SCAD Museum of Art is proud to honor our U.S. service members by participating in the annual Blue Star Museums movement. In collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America, SCAD MOA welcomes active-duty military personnel and their families with complimentary admission starting on Armed Forces Day, May 17, through Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2025. We look forward to presenting our latest exhibitions to these brave responders.

Member exclusive: Meet Friends of SCAD on a private tour

The SCAD Museum of Art and Friends of SCAD cadres join forces for an exclusive tour of SCAD Savannah, including the Back40, Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center, and SCADstory. Get acquainted with members of the university’s community engagement team as you learn more about their work as hosts for special guests, activators of unique experiences, and organizers for collective educational opportunities. The day trip includes a catered picnic lunch from the Gryphon hosted by Gutstein Gallery.
